Does your transport provider have a DGSA?

With the Dangerous Goods regulations recently changing, your transport provider must have the necessary DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) in place.

Under due diligence obligations, any company consigning dangerous goods on its own behalf, or on behalf of another party, involved in any intermediate transport operations involving dangerous goods now has the responsibility to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA), or confirm that a DGSA can be accessed to ensure these activities are carried out in compliance with the requirements of ADR. Manufacturers or traders who sell ex-works will also have their own ADR responsibilities to appoint or have access to a DGSA.

Let us therefore introduce Tomasz Rembecki!

Tomasz has been part of the Simpex Express team since 2015. Not only is he an important member of the day to day operations, he’s also been the onsite DGSA at our Birmingham depot since 2017. He loves nothing better than a debate over limited quantities or checking out a DGN…really!

“Being offered the chance to learn a new skill was a great opportunity for me personally but it’s also vital to have the ability and knowledge of a DGSA integrated within your team like here at Simpex to ensure the continuous smooth running of your operations”.

Could we help with the carriage of your dangerous goods?

The national legislation states that any company that consigns, transports, packs, fills, loads or unloads dangerous goods regularly – by road, rail or inland waterway must appoint a DGSA.
